Excellent quality and price put a low profile gas block on it, runs great!

Nice barrel for the money. You cant find a classic chrome line phosphate barrel like this for this price anywhere.

This barrel arrived in condition you would expect for a 90$ barrel. It is hard to complain.
I was excited to have pinned gas block on carbine length gas system.
The issue is the gas block pins are bloomed out on both sides of gas block from assembly at factory. I researched the most likely assembly direction after a phone call to customer service…. Not much help but very honest and polite… I do truly appreciate that. They advised a micrometer to determine what is best . The results are vague at best as the pins shape are assymetrical.
I have seen really nice roscoe barrels and there is the one I got. Mine is definately a factory second or third.
I am concerned if I get it going that it might not shoot well after a beat the pins off of it… not worth my time.
Thats after a few punches later.
I am writing it off to experience.I just want to warn the guy who has assembled a few uppers but doesnt have the patience of saint to buy something next level up QC… nothing against Roscoe.

I bought this barrel to build a simple “back to the basics” rifle. I wanted to use a simple drop in handguard, but I didn’t want the fixed front sight post. The finish had some rub marks on it, but nothing deep. I think a little magic eraser will clean it up. With cheap 55gr ammo I was consistently getting 2 out of three rounds touching at 100 yards. I liked the build and accuracy enough that I ordered another and it just arrived today. The finish on the second barrel is much nicer and the stamping is even more clear. If you just want a good barrel and aren’t looking for a tacticool build, this is an awesome deal.

Just finished a build, a light weight and fast handling carbine. Not a pencil barrel, but is quick handling. Only had a few very small rub marks and looks great. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. I’m sure it will have at least combat accuracy. Headspace checks good. Very good deal on a chrome lined barrel. Like that it is 1 in 9 twist as I only fire 55gr ammo. This makes a great patrol style carbine.

To the guy who couldnt get the taper pins out – Jacob (verified owner) – You need to brace the barrel against a hard surface (such as a concrete floor) and support it with an appropriate block. Use a LARGE (sledge) hammer and a Domed Pin Punch. Hit each pin directly, they will come right out. Mine did – and I mounted a folding front sight gas block in place of the pinned one.
I liked this barrel enough that I just bought another one.
