This Rosco 13.9″ .223 Wylde Barrel was designed for the modern shooters desire for precision in a small package. The SPR profile is well suited for cold bore shots on target with a balanced rifle.
Rosco Manufacturing’s “Purebred” series is a testament to precision and quality manufacturing. We took a step back to see how we could create a barrel line that would be a culmination of all the lessons learned through years of making barrels for several OEM’s. The result is a barrel that will produce results out of the box for any shooter that is looking to take their skills above and beyond. All of our Purebred barrels are made from scratch in our Rhode Island facility and start life as a blank piece of 416R stainless steel.
Aside from making our own barrel blanks, and barrel extensions, we also hold ourselves to the most stringent quality standards. This is the only way that we can make sure that we are producing a product that will perform time after time under the demanding of situations. We are setting out to re-define the rules and we plan on letting our work do the talking…
NOTE: Serves as an HBAR or Heavy Barrel for restrictive states.

So far I’d give this barrel a one star. Now, I’ve ordered a different barrel from Rosco before and I loved the incredible accuracy of it. So when I wanted a longer barrel for precision, it was a no-brainer who to order from. I ordered this barrel and when I got it, the first thing I did was look down the barrel. I immediately could tell there was something in it. I ran a cleaning rod with a patch through it and the patch got caught on whatever was in the barrel. I noticed the “catch” was on the inside of where the gas port was drilled. So I got my barrel camera out and there was a terrible burr on the inside of the barrel, where the gas port was drilled. So I reached out to Roscoe and they determined the same as I did. But my whole issue was that, the most novice of employee could have looked down the barrel and seen the dark matter that was sticking into the barrel and noticed something was wrong and clearly there was no QC done for this barrel. Now, Roscoe sent me a return label, but they won’t send me a new barrel until they receive this barrel. Now, there should be some sort of confirmation that mine was sent back (the same day I got it) and they should have sent me a new barrel as soon as they got confirmation that this barrel was returned (we have the technology to confirm a product was returned) and therefore I can get a replacement ASAP, instead of waiting another 2 weeks for a replacement barrel. That’s my frustration. I love Roscoe’s stuff, they make great products. But this was a complete miss on their part and I think they should have acknowledged that and tried to remedy the situation faster. I’m highly disappointed in that part of it.
