Our Husky Series gives you our take on a ‘SOCOM’ 12.5. While this barrel isn’t exactly heavy in weight, only a few ounces more than our Bloodline 12.5″ barrel, the ‘Husky’ profile helps defeat the heat and reduce barrel whip. This barrel is phosphate coated with a chrome lined chamber and bore. Button rifled for that Rosco accuracy!

Excellent barrel for the money. Built in Rosco upper with Rosco gas block (had gunsmith drill and pin gas block in addition to set screws), with 10″ ODG Midwest Industries Gen 2 quad rail. A2 on barrel. On pistol lower with geissele SSA-E X with AS designs super safety and SBA5 brace. Initially ran with EXPS 3-0 w/ 3x magnifier. Now with NX8 1-8 in QD mount. With bipod, bag, and 77 grain bonefrog tmk, otm, or Frontier 5.56 75 grain T2 will produce 10 shot groups from 1.5 to 2.0″ at 100 yards. Shoots magtech 62 grain fmj 5.56 well also. M855 better than M193, but not great in anything I’ve tried. Minimum POI shift when hot. Runs nicely on super safety with H2 and Sprinco Red. Will try moving up to H3, or maybe K-Spec H3 w/ flatwire. The cyclic rate fast, but is reasonably controllable with practice. Would like to slow it down more. It’s gassed harder than I’d have thought with the patrol length tube. Will take out to 500 meters soon and see if it can make reliable hits on 10″ plates with good ammo and bipod, and engage small plates from improved positions. Seems to be a great general purpose barrel. Wish the gas port was maybe a bit smaller.
